The 2022/23 soybean harvest reached 92% of the cultivated area in Brazil on Thursday (20th), compared to 86% in the previous week and 91% a year ago. Work has been completed in all states of the Center-West and Southeast regions and also in Bahia, Tocantins and Rondônia. Among the states still harvesting, Rio Grande do Sul is the one that still has the most area left to harvest. Even so, the machines advanced at a good pace this week.
Second corn crop (winter corn)
The planting of the 2023 second corn crop has been completed since the end of March. Although the sowing of part of the areas was done after the ideal window, so far the crops are developing well, favored by the April rains.
A colheita do milho verão 2022/23, por sua vez, atingiu na quinta-feira (20) 88% da área cultivada no Centro-Sul do Brasil, ante 82% na semana prévia e 88% um ano atrás.
